The Lady Commandos made a rally to take the lead in the district contest, but Station Camp scores late to win game. Station Camp came to Drakes Creek and got started off early with four runs in the first inning which was aided by two errors by the Lady Commandos while getting three hits. HHS scored one run in the bottom of the first. Carly Corah would single to left center followed by a Destiny Paul single, Lindsey Munn would then double to bring in Carly. Hendersonville would add one more run in the second inning. Julia Meade would single, get moved over by a sac bunt by Alex Walker, which turned into an error, Cierra Graham would have a fielders choice to move Julia to third, Emily Mays would hit a ball to center field that drove in Julia. Station Camp would add two runs in the third inning. Hendersonville would have a big inning in the fourth inning by scoring six runs. Julia Meade would single, followed by a Alex Walker single, Julia would score on a fielders choice,. Emily Mays then walked, to load the bases. Carly Corah would walk with bases loaded to bring in Alex (Walker). Lindsey Munn would then clear the bases with a single and an error in the outfield and come around to score. This brought the score to 8-6 in favor of HHS. Station Camp would add one run in the fifth, three in the sixth, and three more in the seventh. Hendersonville would come to bat in the bottom of the seventh inning down 13-8. The Lady Commandos would score two runs in the inning, but leave two more on base to lose by a final score of 13-10. Brooke Biggerstaff would start the game and end up with a no decision in pitching 3 innings. Julia Meade picked up the loss in the contest pitching four innings. The winning pitcher for Station Camp was Kelsey Haley, who came in relief for Morgan Mills. On the day, Julia Meade was 3-4 with three isngles. Lindsey Munn finshed 2-3 with a doulbe, single, and three RBI's.
In the JV game that followed, Station Camp got on the board first in the first inning with three runs, aided by three Lady Commando errors. Hendersonville was able to hold them back after that. Hendersonville cut the defecit to one in the bottom of the first by scoring two runs. Ashleigh Stratton would start off by walking. Katee Byrd would lay down a sac bunt, Rachel Hackett then hit a ball to first, moving Ashleigh to third. Alexis Meadors would then walk, Alex Walker would then single and drive in Ashleigh and Alexis on the hit and a fielding error. The lead would remain the same until the bottom of the third when Hendersonville would score six runs for the win. The winning hit was by Rachel Hackett on a single bringing in two runs (Becca Griffin and Ashleigh Stratton). Alexis Meadors picked up the win in the game.
