The Lady Commandos dropped their third district game of the season to Wilson Central. Wilson Central got on the board early with a three run homerun in the first inning by Lauren Stavinoga. Wilson Central would add two more runs in the second inning to take a 5-0 lead. HHS would not be able to recover from the defecit. The Lady Commandos were only able to drive in one, which was in the third inning. The run would be scored on a sacrifice fly by Carly Corah, which brought in Emily Mays. Hendersonville had many opportunities during the game. There was ten runners left stranded over the next five innings. Brooke Biggerstaff picked up the loss in the game, brining her record to 4-4. Morgan Powell picked up the victory for the Wildcats.
In the JV game, the Lady Commandos picked up their second straight win. Wilson Central picked up two runs in the top of the first. Hendersonville would answer in the bottom of the first bring four ladies home. Ashleigh Stratton started off the inning with a walk, followed by a Katee Byrd walk, Cierra Graham would then be hit by a ball to load the bases. Rachel Hackett would drive in two runs with a single. Magan Denton would ground out to first bringing in another run. The final run came with a single by Madi Hulsey. The four runs would be enough for the win. Wilson Central would add one more run in the third inning to make the final score of 4-3 in favor of Hendersonville. Alexis Meadors picked up the win for Hendersonville.
Hendersonville competes in the Lady Warrior Invitational starting Thursday and finishing Saturday.
